Hello everyone, 1st Vice Eric Snead here. I would like to take time to invite each and every Veteran to join us on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 pm for our monthly meetings. This is where we make things happen with your participation!!! Thank you all!
Post 40 1st Vice Commander
Sons of AMVETS
The Sons are ready to start the new year. If you have renewed prior to December 31st you car should be behind the bar, ask a bartender to check if it is there. Those who haven’t renewed for 2021 please do so promptly so we can get you processed. Sons of AMVETS meetings are held the first Monday of every month at 6:00 PM. Try to make it if you can.
The Ladies Auxiliary held our first ever drive up Christmas Party. Santa and his elves delivered presents to little ones adhering to present Covid restrictions. The outcome was awesome. Happy children with a new gift and a brief Santa visit. A huge thank you to Rhonda and all the elves for your support. Job well done.
Coupons were sent to military bases overseas. This is an ongoing project. Check with Janette Leech to see how you can help. We continue to collect items for the Veterans Hospital and the Care Center. They are always in need of essential items.
Our Community Service Officer, Ashley Street has resigned to explore new opportunities in her life. Thank you Ashley for all you have done for us and especially our Veterans. We will miss you.
Our Scholarship fund is growing thanks to Betty Woolwine and all those supporting this worthy cause. Our membership numbers are holding steady with missing only a few that have not sent in dues. Thank you Bonnie Thacker for doing such a great job with membership.
Thank you to everyone who brings in donations, lends a hand, pitches in always(you know who you are). This is how we grow and accomplish goals for our community and our Veterans
Meetings are still the second Tuesday at 630. Hope to see you there.

The Riders continue to operate the kitchen on Friday nights. Volunteers are always welcome. We enjoyed a social for our December Meeting. Thanks to those who came out and thanks for the yummy food. The kitchen clean up date is scheduled for February 13th at 1:00. The hood system was just cleaned professionally so this will go fast.
We have suspended our monthly meetings til spring but watch Dan Grayson's post on Riders Facebook page and group messages for updates. Lots of good things going on at the Post so even though it is a 4 wheeler time of year please stop by and say hi.
Thank you to all our Riders for volunteering to better the lives of those who gave so much for us.
Mark Campbell, President
